Our high-quality Red Child Safety Vests come in four sizes suitable for children from kindergarten through to start of Secondary School aged children:
- Child Small: 3-5 years
- Child Medium: 5-7 years
- Child Large: 7-10 years
- Child XL: 10-13 years
They are made from a high-quality 120gsm knitted fabric and an AU-approved reflective tape. The quality of the garments and the zips are very good and represent excellent value for money.

Colour & Sizing Specs for Child Vests
At Safetyvests have six colour options for the child zipped vest yellow, orange, pink, blue, red and neon green and 2 colours options for the velcro vests: yellow and orange. The zipped vests are really high quality and will last.
Chest Size:
Small – 35cm
Medium – 40cm
Large – 45cm
Extra Large – 50cm
What vest will fit my child?
That is a great question but the answer is not so clear cut because our kids differ so much in size even at the same age … so this is a rough guide:
- Child Small: 3-5 years old
- Child Medium: 5-7 years old
- Child Large: 7-10 years old
- Child XL: 10-14 years old
The good thing about our vests is that they have been designed to fit children even if it isn’t the exact size. My 7 year old girl could still get away with wearing her size small vest that she’d had since she was 4 (if she needed to), and when my boy was 6 he could wear the large even if it was a little baggy. If in doubt go larger.
